The Tour d'Azerbaidjan is a 2.1 event on the UCI Continental Tour. Teams of six riders from all over the world compete in this professional cycling race in Azerbaijan. The complete route was planned by Albrecht Röder. The five-day stage race starts on the streets of Baku, then the peloton heads to the Caucasus Mountains and for the final stage the riders return to Baku.
